A company specializing in material research and development has partnered with an automotive parts manufacturer to launch an engine suspension using new composite materials. The suspension main structure uses high-strength carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP), which reduces the weight by about 40% compared to traditional metal materials, effectively assisting in the lightweighting of the entire vehicle. Meanwhile, CFRP material has excellent damping characteristics and fatigue resistance, which can better absorb and attenuate engine vibrations. In durability testing, the new suspension remained stable even after 1 million simulated vibration cycles, far exceeding industry standards. At present, multiple new energy vehicle manufacturers have shown strong interest in this product and plan to apply it to their models to enhance vehicle range and overall performance.
